The Medical & Health Services team supports research and development (R&D) initiatives at Hannover Life Re Australasia.
They also collaborate with our global Hannover Re colleagues on a broad range of R&D projects.
This includes keeping abreast of medical advances and clinical updates that impact our medical risk assessment philosophies, including informed pricing considerations, shaping new product development and ensuring medical definitions are current, accurate, and fair for claims assessment and customer outcomes.
They perform in-depth evidence-based reviews of medical conditions to ensure that actuarial and statistical data underpins our underwriting guidelines.

The team is passionate about sharing learnings and insights through industry presentations, forums, and publications as well as internally with staff training.
Our dedicated Mental Wellness Working Group keeps us well informed of emerging trends and developments relating to mental illness and identifies opportunities to improve the prevention, early detection, and management of mental illness for our customers across all aspects of the customer journey
