Client Underwriting Portal
Our Client Underwriting Portal (CUP) is our secure express case referral channel between Hannover Re and our clients, for efficiently handling more complex underwriting cases, as well as defined claims.
CUP streamlines the process of dealing with binding authority or other unusual cases and claims which would normally be referred to our underwriters. Enabling even faster processing and response times and avoiding the stress that can be caused by a communication channel mismatch, it is particularly suited to clients who need to make such requests regularly.
Why should you use CUP?
Like all our solutions, CUP has been developed in close cooperation with our clients. Our decades of experience in designing user-focused IT solutions means CUP offers you a range of features, including:

How easy is it to use?
You are guided through the process at every stage. Access to the portal is through a personal log-in. You then enter the relevant information as requested and attach any necessary documents. You will receive a reference number and can download a PDF summary of the information provided. Additional documents can be uploaded subsequently. Finally, you will receive an email informing you that the decision is available on CUP.
Our innovative dashboard offers a comprehensive view of all cases submitted to Hannover Re. Intuitive tooltips provide helpful guidance throughout the portal. The dashboard displays detailed information for each submission, including case category, reference number, coverage details, and case status. Additionally, it provides key statistics on the total number of cases submitted. These features allow you to manage and track cases more efficiently, saving you valuable time and ensuring you are well-informed at all times.
No data is stored on the portal itself: information is stored on our secure server and can only be viewed by authorised individuals.
How will it fit in with existing systems?
As a web-based facility, CUP is easily accessible from your existing IT set-up and the installation process is hassle-free without any requirement for installation or configuration of any software. All that is needed is a company email address for each user. So you will be in a position to start using it very quickly.
